Sydney from air!

What a fabulous Saturday and introduction to Sydney and neighboring areas!
My dear friend Lara convinced her dad to take me and Lara and Sarah for flight. So off we headed to the Royal Australian Air Force base in Richmond on Saturday morning with our passports and big smiles on our faces.
Don't have any pictures of the actual RAAF base as you might guess not really allowed to take pictures.... what happens in Air Force base, stays in Air Force base....

We took off around noon and headed towards east to the coast! Then got permission from Sydney air traffic control for our scenic flight over Sydney Harbour and headed south! What an amazing feeling! It was such an amazing day, no clouds, sun shining, the sea glittering in deep blue shades! The pictures don't really do justice to that Saturday day, it was just so breath taking!

Lara and Sarah ready to board while our pilot does final pre-flight checks. The girls were thinking of more "Top Gun" style outfits for the day, but at the end just opted to wear sunglasses and left the jumpsuit for the air force pilots ;)

Girls at the back!

Heading to Sydney Harbour!

Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge on sight!

Lara's dad Geoff!

Me on the co-pilot seat! No, I did not touch anything!

Then off to Blue Mountains! I keep repeating myself, but goodness me! What an amazing sight it was again! Just fabulous! Superb!

The big dam Warragamba dam.

Blue Mountains....

More Blue Mountains...

After landing back to the RAAF base, it was just smiles on faces! It was competition between sun and us shining brighter! And not sure who won it! But it was day to remember!

Back on the ground!

Thanks so much Geoff for taking us up in the air!!! And record looks still great! Even number of take offs and landings! Happy to join again!
Thanks for being such a great host for us for the day!!!!
